Tomorrow Never Comes
Tomorrow is defined as “the day following today” and “a future period of time.” By definition, tomorrow never comes because when the clock changes at midnight “tomorrow” becomes today. This is more than just semantics. Our subconscious mind often uses the promise of tomorrow against us as we make promises to eat better tomorrow, to work out tomorrow, to work on the project we keep putting off tomorrow, to work harder tomorrow, to relax tomorrow and on and on.
Yesterday is history – we can’t change it. Today is all we have. Tomorrow is a dream.
Just like everyday, today consists of 1,440 minutes. You may either make today count by using the time you are given today to take action that will move you forward (even if only a baby step) in the direction you want to go or you may choose to use your time today telling yourself and others what you will do tomorrow.
It’s your life so, as always, the choice is yours. Just remember tomorrow never comes.
